This week, we discovered a Trinidadian artist from Toronto, Ian Kamau. Ian touches different artistic worlds, as well as graphics, spoken word and Hip Hop. He also paints and writes poems. Ian, he defines himself as a writer interested in visual creations.
Ian Kamau’s last album was released in 2011, so he was asked what events had influenced his recent LOSS album and what his creative process was. LOSS addresses death and mental illness through the life of his paternal grandmother who died suddenly more than 30 years ago. Kamau promises us a multidisciplinary show.
Ian Kamau will be performing on November 1st and 2nd, 2018 in La Chapelle.
